John Allen’s Biography
John Allen was born in Rochester, New York but at a young age moved
with his family to Clearwater, Florida. During his high school years, John
was lead singer for bands in and around Central Florida. John took the
spotlight in all bands he performed in, from being the opening act, in
showcasing venues or fundraisers and charity events. "I found my calling and
a way to stay out of trouble, my music. John recalls playing in circles of
musicians like Dicky Betts of the Allman Brothers and David Muse of
Firefall. John was learning from some of music's best.
John believes everyone has a God given talent, with John it is his
voice. "I've been blessed to have many wonderful musical career
opportunities. John Allen's musical career includes several original
recording projects with Singer/Songwriter Michael Dan Emig who has written
for the likes of Deanna Carter, Lita Ford, and Blackfoot to name a few. The
project was recorded and co-produced by David Muse one of the original
members of Firefall who is currently touring with the Marshal Tucker Band.
In 1999, John moved from Clearwater, Florida to Knoxville, Tennessee.
Getting to know East Tennessee John made the rounds to all the Pigeon Forge
theaters such as Country Tonight, Southern Nights where he has performed.
John also entertained at the Civic Coliseum for the Knoxville Ice Bears
2003-2004 opening game.
John Allen is currently performing solo showcases in the East Tennessee area
and is accepting new bookings for the Fall and Winter Season of 2007.
